Ancak LPG d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015f\u00fcmlerinde belli g\u00fcvenlik kriterlerinin olu\u015fup, kontrol\u00fcn\u00fcn sa\u011flanmas\u0131n\u0131n, 2005\u2019e kadar m\u00fcmk\u00fcn olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131na de\u011finen Metin, \u201c\u015eu anda T\u00fcrkiye\u2019deki ara\u00e7lar\u0131n \u00fc\u00e7te birinde LPG var. Ancak sekt\u00f6r, 1995-2005 aras\u0131nda nizami olmayan y\u00f6ntemlerle d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015f\u00fcm\u00fc ger\u00e7ekle\u015ftirilmi\u015f otomobillerin k\u00f6t\u00fc \u015f\u00f6hretinin cezas\u0131n\u0131 \u00e7ekiyor. Bu sistem sayesinde art\u0131k LPG \u2018tehlikeli\u2019 yerine, \u2018g\u00fcvenli ve \u00e7evreci\u2019 olarak an\u0131lmaya ba\u015flad\u0131. Ancak 2000-2005 aras\u0131nda d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015f\u00fcm\u00fc yap\u0131lan ara\u00e7lar h\u00e2l\u00e2 trafikte oldu\u011fundan, bu ara\u00e7lar\u0131n hangisi g\u00fcvenli hangisi de\u011fil saptamak zor. Ara\u00e7 sahiplerinin kendileri, aileleri ve trafikte seyreden di\u011fer ki\u015filerin emniyeti i\u00e7in sadece tanklar\u0131 de\u011fil, ara\u00e7lar\u0131ndaki LPG sistemini b\u00fct\u00fcn olarak kontrol ettirmeleri gerekiyor. \u00d6zellikle kullan\u0131m \u00f6mr\u00fcn\u00fc tamamlam\u0131\u015f tanklar\u0131n mutlaka de\u011fi\u015ftirilmesi gerekiyor. De\u011fi\u015ftirilmedi\u011fi takdirde bir\u00e7ok insan\u0131n hayat\u0131n\u0131 tehlikeye sokuyor.
