Kadett E, d\u00f6neminde Opel taraf\u0131ndan sunulan ve Kadett ismini ta\u015f\u0131yan son kompakt s\u0131n\u0131f modeliydi. Opel\u2019in ilk \u00f6nden \u00e7eki\u015fli modeli olan Opel Kadett D\u2019nin pazara sunuldu\u011fu andan itibaren, kendisinden sonra gelecek olan model hakk\u0131nda fikirler olu\u015fturulmaya ba\u015fland\u0131. R\u00fcsselsheim\u2019daki \u00fcr\u00fcn geli\u015ftirme ve \u00fcretimde \u00e7al\u0131\u015fan \u00e7ok say\u0131da m\u00fchendis, teknisyen ve tasar\u0131mc\u0131 \u201cKadett E\u201d projesinin bir par\u00e7as\u0131 haline geldi. Be\u015f y\u0131ll\u0131k bir s\u00fcre boyunca Kadett E&#8217;nin geli\u015ftirilmesine 1,5 milyar Alman mark\u0131 harcand\u0131. Seri \u00fcretime haz\u0131r hale gelmeden \u00f6nce prototipler, test merkezlerinin yan\u0131 s\u0131ra yar\u0131\u015f pistlerinde, Kuzey Avrupa&#8217;da ve ABD\u2019deki \u00e7\u00f6l b\u00f6lgelerinde ve zorlu hava ko\u015fullar\u0131 alt\u0131nda yakla\u015f\u0131k 6,5 milyon kilometre toplam mesafe kat etti. Yo\u011fun testlerin tamamlanmas\u0131n\u0131n ard\u0131ndan, yine \u00f6nden \u00e7eki\u015fe sahip olan Kadett E, 1984 y\u0131l\u0131n\u0131n sonbahar\u0131nda pazara sunuldu. K\u0131sa s\u00fcrede benzersiz bir model \u00e7e\u015fitlili\u011fiyle yetkili bayilere ula\u015ft\u0131. Yaln\u0131zca bir y\u0131l sonra ise d\u00f6rt kap\u0131l\u0131 notchback g\u00f6vde tipiyle \u00fcr\u00fcn yelpazesi tamamland\u0131. 1987 y\u0131l\u0131ndan itibaren do\u011fa severler Kadett E modeliyle beklentilerinin kar\u015f\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 fazlas\u0131yla ald\u0131. Yeni Kadett Cabrio modelinden sorumlu olan ki\u015fi \u00fcnl\u00fc \u0130talyan tasar\u0131mc\u0131 Nuccio Bertone idi. S\u00fcr\u00fcc\u00fc ve \u00f6n yolcu i\u00e7in spor koltuklardan, ba\u011f\u0131ms\u0131z olarak katlanabilen arka koltuklar ve renkli yan camlara kadar \u00e7ok say\u0131da standart donan\u0131m i\u00e7eren \u015f\u0131k \u201c\u00dcsts\u00fcz Kadett\u201d R\u00fcsselsheim\u2019daki tasar\u0131m ekibiyle yak\u0131n i\u015f birli\u011fi i\u00e7erisinde kuzey \u0130talya\u2019daki fabrikada tasarland\u0131. Opel, Kadett ile yaln\u0131zca binek otomobil m\u00fc\u015fterilerinin dikkatini \u00e7ekmeyi de\u011fil bir ba\u015fka model olan Kadett Combo ile ticari m\u00fc\u015fteriler i\u00e7in de do\u011fru modeli sunmay\u0131 ama\u00e7lad\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 vurgulad\u0131. Bu ba\u015far\u0131 re\u00e7etesi kompakt s\u0131n\u0131fta en \u00e7ok satan Kadett E\u2019nin be\u015finci nesline \u00e7e\u015fitli \u00f6d\u00fcller getirdi. Kadett E, \u201c1984 Alt\u0131n Direksiyon\u201d \u00f6d\u00fcl\u00fcne ek olarak \u201cAvrupa\u2019da 1985 Y\u0131l\u0131n\u0131n Otomobili\u201d unvan\u0131n\u0131 da elde etti. Kadett, 1984 y\u0131l\u0131nda aerodinamik a\u00e7\u0131dan da rekor k\u0131rd\u0131. Kadett E, r\u00fczgar t\u00fcnelinde ger\u00e7ekle\u015ftirilen 1.200 saatlik hassas ayarlamalar\u0131n ard\u0131ndan 0,32 d\u00fczeyinde ola\u011fan\u00fcst\u00fc bir s\u00fcrt\u00fcnme katsay\u0131s\u0131 elde etti. Spor versiyon olan GSI modeli ise 0,30 d\u00fczeyinde s\u00fcrt\u00fcnme katsay\u0131s\u0131 ve 0,57 metrekarelik hava diren\u00e7 alan\u0131yla zaman\u0131n\u0131n en aerodinamik sedan otomobili oldu. O d\u00f6nemde \u00dcr\u00fcn Geli\u015ftirme Direkt\u00f6r\u00fc olan Fritz W. Lohr mevcut test s\u00fcrecini, \u201cM\u00fchendis ve teknisyenlerimiz 1.200 saatlik r\u00fczgar t\u00fcneli testi boyunca yeni Kadett\u2019in bu s\u0131n\u0131fta daha \u00f6nce ula\u015f\u0131lamayan aerodinamik kaliteyi elde etmesini sa\u011flad\u0131. Yeni Kadett&#8217;in geli\u015ftirilme a\u015famas\u0131nda baz\u0131 k\u0131demli m\u00fchendislerimiz g\u00fcn\u00fcn b\u00fcy\u00fck bir k\u0131sm\u0131nda m\u00fcsait olmuyorlard\u0131. Bununla birlikte marka, 2021\u2019den bu yana kompakt s\u0131n\u0131ftaki ba\u015far\u0131l\u0131 \u00f6yk\u00fcs\u00fcn\u00fc devam ettiriyor.
