Yeni teknoloji motorlar\u0131n sunulmas\u0131nda ama\u00e7 sadece yak\u0131t tasarrufu ve d\u00fc\u015f\u00fck emisyon de\u011ferlerinde de\u011fil, ayn\u0131 zamanda anl\u0131k torkta iyile\u015ftirme ve g\u00fcr\u00fclt\u00fcn\u00fcn azalt\u0131lmas\u0131nda da liderlik.<br \/>\nBu yeni motor grubunun ilk \u00fcyesi 1598 cc, direk enjeksiyonlu ve start&amp;stop \u00f6zellikli 4 silindirli Turbo benzinlimotor. Yeni SIDI (spark ignition direct injection- k\u0131v\u0131lc\u0131m ate\u015flemeli direk enjeksiyon) ecotec motorda ak\u0131c\u0131 ivmelenme, y\u00fcksek tork, d\u00fc\u015f\u00fck ses seviyesi ve yak\u0131t tasarrufu en \u00f6nemli \u00f6zellikler olacak.\u00a0Bu motorda, tasar\u0131mc\u0131lar\u0131n \u00fczerinde \u00f6nemle durdu\u011fu nokta olan tork de\u011feri, litre ba\u015f\u0131na 187.5 Nm\u2019nin \u00fczerine \u00e7\u0131k\u0131yor. Maksimum tork, 300 Nm\u2019den fazla ve 1.700 d\/d\u2019dan itibaren ula\u015f\u0131labilir oluyor. En y\u00fcksek tork de\u011ferine ise 4.700 d\/d\u2019da ula\u015f\u0131l\u0131yor.\u00dcstelik Selefi 1.6 turbo benzinli ile k\u0131yasland\u0131\u011f\u0131nda yak\u0131t t\u00fcketimi ve karbondioksit emisyonu %13 azalt\u0131lm\u0131\u015f durumda. Yeni 1.6 lt direk enjeksiyonlu motor, tork anlam\u0131nda ger\u00e7ek bir dev. G\u00fc\u00e7, olduk\u00e7a ak\u0131c\u0131 ve sessiz \u015fekilde hissediliyor. \u00a0SIDI teknolojili ilk Opel motor 155 hp\u2019lik 2.2 ecotec direk enjeksiyonlu olarak Signum ve Vectra\u2019da bulunuyordu. Bunu Zafira takip etti. 2007\u2019de ise turbo beslemeli benzinli motoru direk enjeksiyonla sunan GT oldu. 2.0 lt\u2019lik motor 264 hp g\u00fc\u00e7 \u00fcretiyordu.
